Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, New Cross Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old.
You can find us in New Cross, close to New Cross and New Cross Gate railway stations. We’re a bright and modern nursery, based in a spacious building, with separate rooms and gardens for different age groups.
There are lots of activities for children to try – from cooking to science experiments, yoga, woodwork, messy play and more.
The children love to get out and about, enjoying trips to the park, market and local library. Families can join in the fun too, with breakfasts for parents and tea parties for grandparents.
Our chef prepares all meals, using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.

We also offer parents at this nursery the option of choosing shorter days for your child – 8am until 4pm. This will save you 20% on standard full-day nursery fees. Just get in touch with us at customerservices@leyf.org.uk.

Kat, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Katerina and I'm the manager of New Cross Nursery & Preschool. I have been working in Early Years for 10 years now and I have a Masters in Early Years Leadership and Practice. Here at New Cross we have a dedicated, passionate and nurturing team that strives daily to offer new learning opportunities to every single child. We have also worked hard to create a spacious and enabling environment where the children can thrive and feel at home.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
