Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, Pembury Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old.
We’re in Lower Clapton, close to Hackney Downs and Hackney Central stations. We’re a light and roomy nursery with two gardens – one for under 2s and one for pre-schoolers.
The nursery has great links to the wider community and many of our staff live locally. There are lots of activities to try from learning Spanish to cooking, construction, growing fruit and veg and more!
The children love to get out and about too, enjoying outings to the local shops and library.
Our chef provides all meals using recipes from LEYF’s menu.

We also offer parents at this nursery the option of choosing shorter days for your child – 8am until 4pm. This will save you 20% on standard full-day nursery fees. Just get in touch with us at customerservices@leyf.org.uk.

Yvonne, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Yvonne and I'm the manager of Pembury Nursery & Pre-School. I've been at LEYF since 2018. I love spending time with the children and being part of their journeys and inspiring their futures. People would describe me as passionate, motivated and adaptable – all essential skills for a nursery manager!

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
