Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, Farrance Road Nursery & Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old.
You can find us in Chadwell Heath, not far from Chadwell Heath railway station. We’re a large, modern nursery, with separate rooms for different age groups and a garden for outdoor play. Our baby room is equipped with a gym and sensory area.
The children enjoy photography, woodwork, ICT, yoga, dialogic reading, cycling and more.
The nursery currently has a music teacher coming in once a week for music and language groups with children and staff.
Our children love to get out in the local area, with trips to the park and library. A range of freshly prepared healthy snacks is available on-site every day.
Meet the manager
Richard, nursery manager
Hello, my name is Richard and I've been at LEYF for 13 years. I helped set up the nursery in 2008 and was manager for eight years, before returning in 2021. I like to achieve a good balance between office-based tasks and being hands-on in the room, supporting the team. This also allows me to know the children and provide opportunities for fun activities to extend their learning, including singing, stories and creative play.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
