Job Description
Playhouse Nursery (New Cross) is in South London, New Cross. This nursery is 4 mins walk from New Cross Station. This is a brightly decorated, well-equipped nursery with an enthusiastic and passionate team delivering high-quality childcare and education!
We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager with strong positive management skills. Our Nursery managers are leaders and team motivators, they are always striving for the best practice in childcare, whilst working with the team to implement Early Years Foundation Stage in every aspect of our nusery.
Job Requirements
- Level 3 or above child care qualification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an early years’ setting.
- A strong leader who role models’ good practice
- Adaptable to the needs of the Nursery and organisation
- Ability to flex management style to build strong nurturing relationships with the Nursery team and stakeholders.
- Ability to use a coaching approach when developing staff.
- The ability to build strong lasting relationships with Parents through pedagogical conversations.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Strong desire to influence positive change when required through role modelling the LEYF values; Brave, Fun, Inspiring and Nurturing

• The Nursery consists of baby room, a toddler and a preschool room
• Total capacity of Nursery: 30
• Opening times: 8am – 6pm
• Bright spacious spaces that all lead to the garden area
Age Range: Birth-5 years
