Job Description

Marsham Street Nursery and Pre-School is based within LEYF’s Central Office in Pimlico and has wonderful transport links with National Rail, Tube Networks, and Bus Routes all close by. The Nursery is split over 3 floors and they have access to a roof terrace as well as garden space. The Nursery has its own kitchen where the chef prepares healthy meals daily for the children.

 

As a Room Leader, you will work with your own key children and will be responsible for creating stimulating activities all while following the daily routines, you would also be responsible for the weekly planning in the room and role modelling behaviours for other members of staff and the children.

 

The role will be a great opportunity for someone who is looking for career progression in to their first management role.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of Level 3 or above in Early Years Childcare or equivalent is essential
  • Experience in a Level 3 Practitioner position
  • Proactively implement safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
  • You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Be able to support the management team to meet all Ofsted requirements and to ensure that these are always maintained
  • A positive and proactive attitude to work
  • A team player who uses their own initiative and who thrives working in a busy and exciting environment
