Job Description

We are looking for 2 new Room Leaders for our Leys Nursery and Pre-School, these vacancies are to cover leadership roles in our toddler and pre-school rooms. Our new Early Years leaders/ room leaders to mentor staff and support our children in their early stages of development.

Leys Nursery is located in Barking and Dagenham, in the 103 bus route. This nursery is central to the community it serves and provides the local children with new ways of learning and exploring every day.

Job Requirements

  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Level 3 or above in early years Childcare or equivalent.
  • To build and maintain strong partnerships, working with parents to enable children’s needs be met.
  • To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care.
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to early years such as EYFS, SEN, safeguarding.
  • Ability, flexibility and willingness to take on other responsibilities or duties as deemed necessary.
  • To build strong, supportive and professional relationships with the team.

Working at Leys Nursery and Pre-School

  • The Nursery consists of a baby, toddler and preschool room
  • Total capacity of Nursery: 49
  • Opening times: 8am – 6pm
  • Safe and varied outdoor garden

Age Range: Birth-5 years
