Job Description

Located in Hackney, our Fire Station Nursery is looking for experienced Room Leaders to lead staff on developing children’s natural curiosity and confidence, so they leave nursery as inquisitive explorers.

Our new Room Leader will lead the toddler room and a team of Early Years professionals to create and plan daily routines featuring activities that encourage children’s curiosity. You will be role modelling behaviours for other members of staff as well as for the children with your creativity and passion.

Job Requirements

  • Full and relevant child care qualification at level 3 or above.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
  • experience working in an early year’s setting and specific experience with Baby room.
  • To be a confident leader, articulating your ideas and using planning and preparation to ensure their success.
  • To distribute staff and resources effectively, maintaining ratios whilst supporting other rooms.
  • To champion LEYF’s values and advocate our mission to save the world one child at a time.
  • To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others.
  • Have a passion for making a difference in their communities.
  • A child centred approach to teaching using creative and exciting methods to engage and stimulate

  • 3 Rooms: 1 Baby Room, 1 Toddler Room, 1 Preschool
  • 45 Place nursery
  • Opening Times: 8am – 6pm
