Job Description

Eastbury Nursery and Pre-school is currently recruiting a Kitchen Assistant, our Nursery and Pre-school located between Barking and Upney station on the District line. The successful Kitchen Assistant will have experience working around childrens’ needs to join their team. As the Kitchen Assistant, you will support the nursery team when preparing nutritionally well-balanced meals and general housekeeping duties to help maintain a safe and healthy environment. This role will be Monday to Friday 08:00-12:00.


Job Requirements

  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Good hygiene practices
  • Ability to assess all stages of the food preparation process in accordance with HACCP
  • Children’s dietary requirements (Understand the importance of following the guidelines within the Healthy eating and Allergy Policies)
  • Experience in a busy kitchen
  • A positive and proactive attitude to wor
