Job Description

We are recruiting a Part-Time Content Creator on a 1-year fixed-term contract to help plan, design, and deliver the visual content necessary to promote our practice, training, and policy ambitions. This role will primarily involve the creating, editing, and sourcing of content to use on social media, websites, emails, print publications, invitations to events, and more. The ideal candidate would also help create videos and structure content to make the Early Years Chef Academy an easy, enjoyable, and accessible learning experience.

You would report to the Health and Food Lead, and will also work closely with the Marketing Team, and the Chef Academy Lecturer. Main aspects of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Developing a marketing plan that effectively amplifies the brand including some level of ongoing content, and additional campaigns (aligned with LEYF’s overarching marketing strategy and plans). This plan should go beyond the duration of the role so the marketing team can deliver on it going forward
  • Develop a steady stream of engaging visual content in line with the marketing plan developed, this might include; compelling copywriting, photos of our food, food activities, Chef Academy, Top tips on early years nutrition/infographics, Promotional/introductory videos for Chef Academy, Promotional videos for Chef recruitment – working at LEYF, A LEYF cookbook
  • Convert existing Chef Academy teaching content into short engaging videos that can be used for different types of learning (working with the Chef Academy Lecturer and Health and Food Lead) for our chefs, and to support parents in the home environment
  • Organise and manage teaching content on a learning platform to create an easy, enjoyable, and accessible learning experience

Job Requirements

  • Experience developing marketing plans with various stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Experience creating engaging visual content for varied audiences and channels
  • Experience with video filming and editing
  • A keen eye for design and branding, strong skills in the use of the Adobe Suite (particularly illustrator and photoshop), and be able to deliver exceptional, on-brand content
  • A keen eye for and experience with digital communications tools and a proactive approach to making improvements
  • Interest in improving the health of children in Early Years through food
