Staff Benefits

I've been working with children at LEYF since 1994 and took on the role of manager at Abbots Manor Nursery in 2016. Our nursery is special because of our ties to the local community - some of our parents attended nursery here! Feedback from parents and the local school on how we prepare and transition children to attend school has been very positive, particularly in relation to children with SEND. I'd describe myself as passionate, knowledgeable, inspiring and supportive. One of my proudest moments at LEYF was when a child, who was known to have selective mutism, spoke to me. I believe that every child should be given the best start in life, through high-quality early years and be nurtured by enthusiastic teachers who will support them to be the best they can be.

Career Progression

We know it’s our people who make LEYF great. That’s why we value each staff member and offer:

  • Pay and conditions above the national average in the nursery sector
  • A nurturing, fun and value-led working environment
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives
  • An award-winning staff training and development programme
