Job Description

Based in the borough of Lewisham, New Cross Nursery & Pre-School which is a short walk from local bus routes and transport hubs offers a fun and exciting environment for children to enjoy and learn in. The rooms are split over 2 floors and being one of our larger settings they have a spacious garden which gives the children opportunities to expand on their outdoor learning. Working at New Cross means you will have fantastic resources and a spacious environment which means you can be very creative in activities.

We are recruiting friendly, creative, and passionate Early Years Educators on a full-time, permanent basis. As a LEYF Early Years Educator, you will have your own key children with who you will work closely with ensuring that the activities you are planning are inspiring their learning and encouraging their development. You will build close relationships with the children and their parents/ carers ensuring that routines are followed and that every day has something unique and fun in store for them.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant childcare qualification at level 3 or above.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and how this is monitored in a nursery setting.
  • At least 6 months experience working in an early year’s setting
  • To champion LEYF’s values and advocate our mission to save the world one child at a time.
  • To encourage a supportive team atmosphere and the ability to work together in a positive and compassionate way.
  • To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others.
  • To be dedicated in achieving the highest standard of education and care
  • Have a passion for making a difference in their communities.
  • A child centred approach to teaching using creative and exciting methods to engage and stimulate

• Opening times: 8am – 6.30pm
