Job Description

Situated in East Dulwich, our Gumboots Nursery is busy and vibrant with an outstanding reputation within the local community. The Team is friendly and welcoming, putting a multi-layered education at the heart of their teaching. The nursery is one of our larger settings and after an exciting building project completed in June 2021, Gumboots can offer a spacious and modern environment, that ensures the children are constantly stimulated in their various rooms and outdoor areas.

As a Nursery Assistant, your role will be to deliver the Early Years Curriculum through child-led activities, where you will be able to use your unique and creative flair and provide engaging learning opportunities for the children while ensuring you provide a safe and happy space for them.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in an Early Years setting is desirable
  • A passion for helping with children’s development
  • Proactively implement safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
  • You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Be able to support the management team to meet all Ofsted requirements and to ensure that these are always maintained
  • A positive and proactive attitude to work
  • A team player who uses their own initiative and who thrives working in a busy and exciting environment

Working at Gumboots Nursery and Pre-School

  • 2 ‘baby’ rooms, 1 ‘2-3’ room, 1 ’preschool’ room
  • 87 place Nursery
  • Opening Times: 8am to 6pm
  • Our purpose-built building has a Baby room with a separate garden. Large outdoor space for the older children to share.
